It was a huge week for PERVERSE + Team Lucy Meyer as we prepped for the launch of iconGIRL sunglasses!
Lucy Meyer is the Official Spokesperson of the U.S. Fund for UNICEF - Special Olympics Partnership, the U.S. Fund for UNICEF's Spokesperson for Children with Disabilities, and a Special Olympics Gold Medalist in Swimming. She's been given this amazing honor because of her charming personality, determined spirit, and passion for helping children. In her role as Official Spokesperson, Lucy will travel the U.S. to raise awareness and funding for important programs so children with disabilities like her can live safer and happier lives.
You can support Lucy's efforts to help children by shopping the PERVERSE + Team Lucy Meyer sunglasses! We'll donate 100% of the sales to the charity of her choice!
Our exciting week started with a special appearance on Extra with host Mario Lopez. (In case you're wondering, Mario is wearing PERVERSE sunglasses in Bixel 01-Jet Black!) Lucy and the PERVERSE team hit Universal Studios and showed off Lucy's beautiful sunglasses to the live audience.
On Saturday, July 30, Lucy and Toni Ko introduced the PERVERSE + Team Lucy Meyer sunglasses to the world at a private event. Close to 100 people were treated to an amazing video introducing the iconGIRL program, and our commitment to donate 100% of the sales of iconGIRL sunglasses to the charity of Lucy’s choice. (You can view that video here.)
Best of all, attendees were able to purchase the limited edition sunglasses before their official August 1 launch date!
Model and fashion blogger Lydia Hearst paired her iconGIRL sunglasses with a white summer dress. Nigel Lythgoe also stopped by the party to help celebrate PERVERSE + Team Lucy Meyer, and L.A. City Controller Ron Galpern was also in attendance.
Icon GIRLs is part of the Icon Initiative, an award given to recognize those who do inspirational things AND inspire others to do the same. To learn more about PERVERSE + Team Lucy Meyer, click here.
